Worthmore Treatment Center Program Levels of Care
Patients Individually Assessed
Contact Worthmore Treatment Center: 605-622-5800 or 800-952-2250
Utilizing the ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria, each patient is individually assessed to ensure a proper level of care, and that their needs will be addressed with individual treatment planning. All aspects of treatment (i.e., physical, emotional, social, mental and spiritual) are carefully integrated to encourage and promote healing and recovery.
Levels of Outpatient Care Available
Residential Day Treatment
This level of care includes a daily minimum of 6 to 8 hours of programming, counseling, group therapy, family conjoint sessions, lectures, videos and peer support. Daily attendance is mandatory. The client does not need daily medical supervision, but because Worthmore is affiliated with a hospital, expert medical care is always close at hand. However, any additional medical costs are not included in the daily cost of treatment. Meals and lodging are included in this level of care. The length of stay is individualized, but it generally is about 4 weeks in length. If you are accepted into the program, our admissions staff will assist you with arrangements.
Intensive Outpatient/Day Treatment
This level of care is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4 PM, and includes the same programming as is listed above. Attendance is mandatory for all sessions. The noon meal is provided, but other meals, as well as lodging, may be available as needed for an additional cost. The length of stay is flexible based upon individual needs, but it generally runs for 4 weeks.
